Q: I’m not really confident in checking the Internet for my holidays. I’m interested in staying longer and am wondering if this is possible as I see so many one-week all-inclusive packages advertised. A: Tour operators that offer long stay packages are out there. You can drop by your nearest travel agent and inquire about getting some brochures. For long stay programs, I’ve seen Intair’s 23-page 2008-2009 Long Stays brochure for France and Spain. Destinations include the French Riviera and Madrid. Exotic Tours is offering long stay programs to Thailand, Bali, Tunisia and Spain while Sunwing Vacations targets snowbirders for long stay vacations. Sun spots include Mexico’s Puerto Vallarta and Acapulco, Dominican Republic’s Puerto Plata, and five destinations in Cuba among them historic Havana, Varadero and Santiago de Cuba.
