Q: I’d like to make a donation to a conservation group like one that adopts animals.
A:
Whether it’s an eagle, polar bear or whale, there’s a charity out there for one of them. One web site I came across that is in the gift-giving business for conservation-types is www.giftsforconservation.com (or www.giftsforconservation.org) which features
a variety of conservation gift ideas. Featured groups include The Nature Conservancy, The Wildlands Project and The National Parks Conservation Association. World Wildlife Fund Canada (www.wwf.ca/) has a world wildlife supporter program which accepts donations. Through WWF, you can make a symbolic adoption with their “Adopt a Polar Bear Program.” For orders, call 1-800-267-2632 (26-PANDA) or (416) 489-8800.
